Job Introduction
An opportunity has arisen within our Stickney Church of England School and New Leake School federation to appoint an enthusiastic and flexible 1:1 Teaching Assistant, who is hardworking and energetic, and who has a positive attitude, good sense of humour and is fun to work with.
Our schools are small, friendly and successful village schools with an excellent ethos for learning. You will join a successful, supportive and friendly team of professionals who all achieve high standards in academic
and personal development and where the children are happy, well-motivated and enthusiastic learners.
Applicants will require a relevant NVQ 2 or equivalent, experience of working with SEND children and recent primary school-based experience of supporting children within this age group. As well as supporting academic learning, the role will involve nurturing the social and behavioural development of the children.
Duties include:
• Act in accordance with school policies and procedures and relevant legislation, particularly in
relation to child protection and behaviour management.
• Have excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Have high expectations of all pupils and strong behaviour management skills
• Participate in the preparation of the indoor and outdoor learning environments
• Be able to motivate and inspire a love of learning in all pupils.
• Promote development and learning (physical, emotional, educational and social) - fostering growth,
independence and building self-esteem
• Carry out reasonable daily personal care/hygiene duties and administer basic first aid.
• Assist with the movement of children in and around the school.
Visits to our school (by appointment) are encouraged and warmly welcomed.
