Job Introduction
Donington on Bain Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and conscientious administrator to join our school. The successful applicant will have excellent communication and IT skills. Previous experience in school would be an advantage.
The post is 32.5 hours per week, during term time plus one week of inset. The hours will cover the school day. The position will officially start September 2026, but we plan to offer several training days/opportunities during June and July.
The role will require extensive use of computerised systems, including Arbor and Business World, to input and manage data and manage school payments. In addition, the successful applicant will be required to manage the ‘front of house’ area, greeting visitors and making them feel welcome, along with dealing with email and telephone communications to the school. They are also expected to assist in the arrangement of routine in-school activities such as trip administration, school photographs, induction events, publicity and newsletters, reports, supply cover, performances, absence management, liaising with parents and school visitors.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
• the ability to work independently and as part of the small school team.
• the ability to establish good working relationships at all levels of the school – with children, parents, staff and governors.
• they are proactive and conscientious about enhancing the education of pupils and supporting and promoting the positive work of the school.
• excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• excellent numeracy, literacy and IT skills.
• excellent organisation skills, the ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively and work to tight deadlines.
The advert closes at midnight on 6th May, 2026 and interviews are expected to take place on Friday 15th May, 2026.
