Job Introduction

Kirton Primary School are looking for 2 Apprentice Early Years Educators to join their team. 

Apprentice Early Years Educator. 2 positions available – start date January 2026
Apprenticeship level: Advanced, Level 3

Join the Kirton Primary School team and train alongside professional staff to qualify as a Level 3 Early Years Educator.

Entry Qualifications
To study the Early Years Educator Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3, you will need to have 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above (old GCSE grade C or above) or equivalent, including English and Maths.

Working week
Monday to Friday term time only to cover the school day plus up to ten twilight sessions a year. Released one afternoon a week to attend college sessions (these may be via Teams).

Duties to include:

• To be involved in the planning and record keeping of children’s development
• Sharing in the care and well-being of the children throughout the nursery
• Assisting in creating a stimulating environment that enhances the children’s social and educational development
• Developing children’s social skills by supporting children in groups
• Providing support to the teacher across a range of child centred activities to promote child development and learning.
• Following and implementing the school’s behaviour policy and any related policies and procedures.
• Maintaining and respecting confidentiality.
• Attending team meetings and training when required.
• Attending college when required and keeping up to date with coursework.

All posts are subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
